About this Item: Penguin Publishing Group. After I got about 150 pages in, I could not stop reading it, and I finished it all in one blitz. I gave this book 3 stars probably because the author and scene were new and different for me. Suzanne has an alter ego, Allison Murietta, that steals cars and robs fast food places, and from this involved beginning this novel takes off and is soon roaring full speed ahead. It's an easy book to dive into. She clearly enjoys what she does. In fact, just reading some of the blurbs on the Praise pages got me all excited.

Jefferson Parker is thanking his readers. Drawn to a mysterious charisma that has him off-balance from the beginning, Hood begins an intense affair with Suzanne. Allison Murrieta claims to be the many times great granddaughter of Joaquin Murrieta, the famous bandit of 1850's California. I've been wanting to read T.

She claims to be the descendant of Joaquin Murrieta — he a mid-19th Century outlaw folk-tale figure. In wanting to have a stereotypically innocent-looking actor play Tommy, the producers went too far and picked a dead ringer for Andy Richter, thereby introducing some unintended comedy into the show. This is a great suspenseful, edgy story, but kind of fun, too. Otherwise, this is a fun thriller with some interesting views on modern celebrity and Los Angeles.
